LAG Alta Marca Trevigiana

The Alta Marca Trevigiana LAG is aimed at making the most of the area, by developing the character of the local identity. The deterioration of this character could compromise the development of local resources and therefore the loss of this identity.

The objectives of LAG are the reintroduction of the area habits as well as planning for the future. This will mean the involvement of the local population, through the realization of the projects that take the inhabitants back to their own traditional way of life. It will also involve the reinforcement of ecological behaviour and cooperation.

In particular LAG is aimed at making the most of and developing an homogeneous fel to the area especially for the tourist. This will be possible thanks to LDP, which was approved by the Veneto Region with the DGR 545 on the 10th March 2009.

The LDP of Alta Marca Trevigiana LAG is divided into four main lines:
• the improvement of agricultural products competitiveness;
• the improvement of rural environment and surroundings;
• the improvement of quality of life and diversification of activities connected to agriculture;
• and transnational and interregional cooperation.

In relation to the wide availability of the many wonders which belong to this beautiful area, the strategy of local development adopted by LDP intends to highlight the flavours, the scents and colours of Alta Marca Trevigiana by advertising these on the internet as well as improving any points. This is in order to make the most of the endogenous resources. This approach shifts from the promotion of one particular area or element, to the promotion of the area as a whole. This strategy requires mediation amongst stakeholders of the Alta Marca Trevigiana representing the several strengths and the progress of the area working together in order to make the most of them.
